petspeopleandlife - This is a good one. I think that is a downy but I have not been actively birding in many years. We have the downy, hairy, ladderback, redbreasted, redheaded, and in the winter we get yellow-bellied sapsucker, and the flicker.
The pic of this one is just precious. I can see its right foot clamped almost completely around the branch, I love woodpeckers but they have so much competition from other other cavity nesters and predators.
Rexlin Victor - Good shot!! Is it woodpecker???
sallywoodphotography - Hello, yes, a little Downy Woodpecker! Thanks for visiting!
sallywoodphotography - Great to hear from you… they are sweet to watch.. we have this Downy, the Hairy, and the sapsucker here… I have seen one Red Headed in my life, up in Minnesota, I was awed, so beautiful, I have also seen the Pilated there, but not here in Va.
Rexlin Victor - Hmmm… Okay
Phil Lanoue - Excellent shot of Woody!
sallywoodphotography - Okay, what did I miss?, I can be rather dense at times………
sallywoodphotography - Smile!
enmanscamera - I am not much of a birder and have no idea what kind of bird, so I will only comment that I do like your image.
sallywoodphotography - Well, thank you very much… I really appreciate it!
