I recently moved to the Anacortes, Washington area in the Pacific Northwest. Previously I lived, worked and raised my family in Northern Virginia for the past 35 years. I originally hail from the Midwest - Minnesota. But thanks to the military have traveled throughout the United States and Europe.
My journey with photography began when my sons were growing up playing sports. I became very adept at anticipating the next play in baseball, and catching the swim stroke at just the right moment. Years went by and I upgraded my equipment, and learned photo editing techniques. I have a love for nature photography as well.
I am in my happy place, totally energized and at peace when I capture the human expression and experience. I love photographing people… A beautiful landscape is nice, but truly comes to life and tugs at your heart strings when humans enter the scene. I don’t take my friends and clients on photo sessions. We have an experience together! Even the reluctant dads and fiancés are relaxed and smiling, having a good time! There is nothing more precious than capturing that fleeting moment, that smile, that expression, that hug, that pat on the face.
Outdoor experiences with the natural light of early morning or end of the day are key, but I can set up studio lighting sets as well.
Pop over to my experience page to see some of my work and what clients have to say about working with me. I am sure you will have many questions, so please click on the contact tab, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
